Characteristics of the fabric drape is property of fabric sagging due to gravity, is one of the most important factors which can affect the aesthetic appearance of the fabric。The fabric can make smooth, elegant view with excellent drape characteristics easily.For the evaluation of fabric drape characteristics, including the subjective evaluation and objective evaluation. The research of fabric drape objective characteristics have gotten many evaluation norms via by mechanics realm, the drape shape analog, and the popular research method--image processing and so on. The evaluation norm contains some static, dynamic and three dimension shape evaluation norms. As characteristics of fabric drape have quite mature research, some people have designed the software system of fabric drape characteristics. It is indispensable for this system to reconstruct the three dimension shape of fabric drape, which can be regard as real images to get the subjective evaluation, which let the viewer can get a quite directed three dimension image from computer.This paper discussed all kinds of the evaluation method of fabric drape characteristics simply, compared all four method of three dimension shape reconstruction of fabric drape in detail. On the base of the collimator principle, a light point through the slit and convex, when the size of the slit on the convex focus plane, a bouquet of parallel light is issued. This paper used nine laser diodes as light points, which parted to three flat from high to low evenly around the fabric. It brought out three bouquets circle on the fabric. Then put the camera took the photo containing contour from height. This method compared the method of traditional three dimension drape test machine got the photo with contour information, it has many advantages with simple structure, without the effect of ambient light, and captured easily. The contour information was gotten via by a series of image processing. The contour discrete data was gotten via radial scans.For the three-dimensional modeling, this paper introduced the algorithm of triangular mesh generation, in which the best is the Delaunay triangulation. Compared the three types of Delaunay formation, and then it put forward an improvement algorithm of Delaunay triangle growth constrained by contour to get the triangular net of fabric drape shape. This method is much simpler, faster compared with Bezel surface.By flat VC++6.0 and tool OpenGL, This paper reconstructed three-dimension shape of fabric drape via coordinate transformation and light successfully.
