With the rapid development of the national highway construction, increasingly importance has been attached to the quality detection and maintenance work on the highway surface. Deflection is one of the important indexes of road surface detection. To inspect the deflection value quickly, objectively and accurately is valuable to the job of highway surface quality detection and maintenance management.This paper compares and analyzes the contemporary technique of deflection detection home and abroad. Benkelman beam detection is essential and basic to Chinese highway. The paper applies laser technology to Beckman beam deflection meter detection, and designs the colleting system about rebound deflection value using liner CCD, and studies the key technique about high speed line array CCD image collecting system combing with the TCD1501D liner CCD. The paper studies several items as follows:1. The paper firstly proposes road surface rebound deflection principle based on the collimation laser beams according to the analysis of laser technology, and designs the acquisition system about rebound deflection.2. The paper analyzes and studies the working mechanism and structure of line array CCD based on ample material about image sensors. It also makes driver timing designing using VHDL language, timing simulation and verification.3. The circuit designs of amplifying, filtering and binaryzation in data acquisition from CCD, which guarantee our accuracy of signal acquisition, are accomplished.4. The main control circuit of SCM and RS-232 serial communication are designed by using the AVR SCM as the mainly controlled chip.5. The feasibility of the road surface rebound deflection principle based on the collimation laser beams is proved to be true through the comparative experiments, which lays a solid foundation for the further research about developing road surface rebound deflection system based on beams.
