In recent years,with e-commerce and information security needs continue to grow,moremore occasions require the identity authentication.Among them,the fingerprintrecognition technology has become the most widely used and effective means of identityauthentication due to its convenience,high accuracy and low cost.But Previous fingerprintidentification systems were based on the PC, this type of fingerprint identification systemwith a good practical , but it is not convenient and cost relatively higher which can't widelygeneralizablein in many areas.Now, with the rapid development of embedded technology,we can already solidifycomplex fingerprint recognition algorithm in a smaller microprocessor modules ofembedded.obtain embedded fingerprint identification systemWe research an embedded fingerprint identification system in this paper . The paper isdivided into two parts: First, research of fingerprint preprocessing algorithm; Second, buildhardware platform and transplant operating system .At the fingerprint recognitionalgorithm respect, the main task are that research the algorithm of direction for the field andimage enhancement . Calculate the direction of the field use a algorithm with the feedbackmethod of fingerprint orientation field ,this algorithm have obvious effect in treatment of lowquality fingerprint image . Enhancement algorithm use the improved nonlinear diffusionfiltering enhancement algorithm, which is good for off-line fingerprint image processing.Atbuild the hardware platform respect, we selected ARMS3C2440 which is manufactured bySamsung as the core chip, design the structure of hardware system , completed fingerprintmodule, memory module, and key external interface module's design.On the software side,firstly, understand a bit of applications of Linux operating system, and then transplant the U-Boot, Linux kernel and do associated drivers' installation. After these works, we get imagesby sampler, then do image preprocessing through algorithms in the memory of system , finallyget pre-image.
