Sound system is widely used in the field of sound localization, underwater target detection and identification, shooting range test, civilian areas and so on. According to the application requirements of sound system. This paper provides the multi-channel acoustic signal experimental system on the LabVIEW.The system consists of two parts, the system of acoustic transmitting and acoustic receiving system. Firstly, this paper introduced the design of hardware and software of the two parts; Secondly , it simply introduces the development platform of virtual instrument in this system and the LabVIEW of software development, mainly expatiates on overall design scheme of the acoustic receiving system software processing platform and gives the interface and program design of this processing platform which included seven nodules: the system startup, user login, data acquisition and storage, data playback, data processing, delay estimation and data printing. Then the paper debugs the system and gets experiment, gives the results of analysis. At last, it studies time delay estimation method of the acoustic receiving system software processing platform. In theory related time delay estimation and common methods about time delay estimation, combining with system practical situation, this paper proposes the wavelet de-noising generalized time delay estimation method, the simulation and experimental results show that this method increases the time delay estimation accuracy. The multi-channel acoustic signal experimental system, uses the system construction based on PC structure and modularized design scheme, has an advantage of convenient extension and low cost, so it can be used in the experiment and simulation of sound localization.
