"Spatial narration "is a narrative technique which regards the space as an essential place and narrative scenes of story, showing time with space,arranging narrative structure and promoting the process of narrative. Series of pictures narrative is a form of spatial narration." spatial form "doesn't refer to specific objects or places in everyday life. However, it is a kind of space that may be abstract, perceptual or "virtual "in the consciousness of readers, expressed as some "structure", especially after the narratives being overall grasped.Hubei Daily's "Focus" column is a photo special edition, which is usually published on every Friday, covering politics, economy, society, culture, health, education, environmental protection and other fields. There are moving stories, wonderful pictures, wise comments, enthusiastic care, rich in emotions flowing in each period. After founded, this column has gotten forty journalism awards of Hubei province and two China News Awards. This thesis borrowing the definition of "spatial narration ","spatial form" and other related theories from Long Diyong, has researched on Hubei Daily's "Focus" column by dividing it into five parts, such as the form of the column, narrative features and presented forms, etc.The introduction part briefly discusses the current research situation of news photographs edition and the purpose of Hubei Daily's "Focus" column. The first chapter has given a brief introduction and description about the narrative, spatial narration, news narration and so on. The second chapter has analyzed the column settings, topic selection, reported objects, spatial elements of Hubei Daily's "Focus" column. The third chapter has summarized the narrative features of "Focus". "Focus" tells story by pictures and texts, illustrating the policies and principles of the Party, recording the rich traditional culture of Hubei, exploring a lot of quality from the noble little people. With rich emotion and rational comments, these reports guide public opinion successfully.
