A Study And Development Of Desktop Management System Based On Policy

Policy and policy model is the method for decision-making guidance, which has advantage of dynamically configuring, efficient management, etc., but it is inadequate to be directly applied to desktop management.This research design and build a policy-based desktop management system, which combines the features of desktop management and a policy model proposed by Internet Engineering Task Force (IETF) is improved and introduced into it to enable more efficient desktop applications management.First, analyze the advantages and disadvantages of policy model through the research on theory and application of policy, policy models and desktop management systems, and also discuss the problems which may arise when policy model is used in the desktop management system. And then through analysis and research, improvement of IETF's policy model based on characteristics of desktop management is proposed. Finally, the improved policy model is applied to desktop management system, the results is tested and analyzed. In addition, a cloud policy model is proposed base on the basic idea and theory of cloud computing.
