Development Of Street Video Monitor System For Xuhui Public Security Bureau Based On GIS

GIS is a system which is made up of hardware, software and different method. It could be used for data collection, manage, dealing, analysis, modeling and displaying in Resolving complicated planning and Management problems. Based on the point talked above, in addition with Spatial Analysis, Model analysis, Network technology, Database Technology and Data Integration, GIS is used to fulfill a variety of Applications to satisfy the need of the society and the Users.With the development of Modern Police, GIS has became a key point in building Information-based Police. In this paper, GIS Technology was used to deal with the daily Police Affairs. In other words, an integrated application system based on GIS was built to optimize the work of policemen.In this paper, we introduce the development of Video Monitor System based on GIS in the past few years, and analysis the need of modern Public Security Bureau, prompt what Video Monitor System should do:Not only should the system show the GIS feature but also manage the huge amount of camera, locate the Natural Language featured Chinese address and moreover try to design the Emergency Plan for Xuhui Public Security Bureau.Every aspect from Overall design, database design, to System realization and demo is presented. Some Key Technologies Problems Involved in the process of system establishment are elaborated in detail. These problems include:Geocoding, Chinese word Segment; Full-text Retrieval Technique.Last but not the least, a conclusion is drawn in according with the Related works and moreover, in order to Perfect system to be more practical, some improvement that needs to be done are put forward.
