Ad Hoc network is a temporary autonomous system which is multi-hop, self-organization and dynamically changing. Because it could be build rapidly and easily, and it doesn't have central controlling node as well as be good in resisting destructions, it is applicable to many situations that have difficulties in wiring networks. Because of constantly changing topology, which imposes new demands on the routing protocol, traditional protocols are no longer suitable for Ad Hoc network. Research of routing protocols becomes the most important part of the research on Ad Hoc network. The Ad Hoc On-Demand Distance Vector (AODV) protocol is an on-demand protocol specialized for mobile Ad Hoc network. Based on detailed understanding Ad Hoc network characteristics and deeply analyzing the mechanism of AODV, AODV-HR protocol is proposed in this paper. And it is an optimization protocol based on AODV protocol. It not only improves the reliability of routing, but reduces network cost from route discovery process caused by link break, so it can ensure data packages could be transferred in the most reliable mode. Preliminary simulations were provided and the simulation platform was set up by NS2. The feasibility of AODV-HR protocol was validated by comparing the network capability of AODV protocol and AODV-HR protocol. Finally, this paper focused on network management and designed a new network management system based on NETCONF protocol.
