With the development of science and technology, information technology is developing rapidly, Security of information transmission and storage issues become important increasingly. End to end communication plays an increasingly important role in people's daily work, study and life. But, there often have some unsafe factors, so the needs of information security at the end to end communications incrsase more and more. This requires the encrypt transmissions methods in order to support end to end security communications. Hardware encryption module is the core module in end to end encryption communication system. Hardware encryption module usually adopts the programmable chips with independent operation and security storage capacities as the core components. The realization of hardware encryption module has variety of ways, at the same time, the communication ways of system and hardware encryption module are different.Cryptographic algorithm theory and realization are the foundation of information security research. Therefore, cryptographic algorithm research has practical significance on the development of information security. Packet encryption algorithm is one of the two developing directions of modern cryptography. Its characteristic is fast, easy for hardware and software realization, so in communications and information security fields, it has a wide range of applications. As a new generation of packet encryption algorithm standard senior encryption standard (AES), its theory and the realization research is a research hotspot. Research in AES algorithm realization and application has great practical significance.In this paper, the realization and application of AES algorithm is studied. We studied how to use AVR microcontroler to realize AES algorithm mainly using the checking table method of AVR microcontroler characteristics. Based on this, we studied the application of AES algorithm at the end to end communications, and designed the hardware encryption module. Based on the optimization research of AES algorithm, our proposation enhances the efficiency of the algorithm to realize the AES. Using microcontroler to realize AES algorithm, can fully take advantage of microcontroler control functions, which realizes easily and saves cost. The design of end to end communication encryption module provides a new application model of the encryption algorithm application, which makes full use of the advantages of AES algorithm optimization and realization by AVR microcontroler in this article.
