With the rapid development of Internet technology, people are becoming more and more dependent on the network; the business value of the network is also growing. However, the situation that the research of the network measurement technology is lagging behind makes the telecom operators can not implement effective management of the Internet. Measurement is the base of management for IP networks. Therefore, measurement of IP networks has great significance. The purpose of this paper is to improve the network performance measurement accuracy from the perspective of software architecture, in order to objectively reflect the operational status of the network and provide strong guarantee for network management.In this paper, by analysing the development trend of network measurement technology and the key factors that affect the accuracy of network performance measurement. Meanwhile, this paper analyze the shortcomings of the existing network measurement architecture model based on X86 architecture; describe the problem of the network measurement architecture that should be solved from the perspective of the actual needs. And then establish the focus of this study:Design and implement a network measurement model based on MIPS architecture. The model uses the characteristics of the MIPS architecture itself, improves the shortcomings of the network measurement model based on X86 architecture, reduces the coupling between different modules, improves the measurement accuracy through hardware acceleration mechanism, so that the data obtained from the measurement is more consistent with the reality of the network. Experiments results verify the performance of the proposed In this paper, we present the design idea of the network measurement model based on the MIPS platform and describe the main interaction process and the implementation of the various functional modules. It also describes the application of this mode in the actual network measurement. Experiments shows that the architecture model can provide users with reliable measurement in the actual network, Experiments results verify the performance of the proposed.
