The AIPN is an integrative platform which can provide kinds of services including voice, datum and multimedia services etc. The quality of the service (QoS) has been gaining more and more attentions. But in the real networks, because of the limited bandwidth resources and the instability of network protocols, the service performance cannot make the customers satisfied especially in the busy periods. QoS has become a key factor in the development of IP networks. The emergence of end-to-end network optimization ideas make the end-user perception of the services (QoE, Quality of Experience) received much concern. Establishing end-to-end QoS evaluation method, integrating QoE, QoS with network performance metrics and drawing up a suite of comprehensive QoS guarantee programs for network services is the research emphasis of this thesis. In this thesis, the basic introduction of IP QoS models is given first. Furthermore, a service-based QoS metric model which is established from the perspective of the user perceptions is carefully studied. Key QoS metrics for Web, FTP, E-mail and VoIP are analyzed. On the basis of the metric model, an end-to-end service quality evaluation framework is proposed. A series of mapping methods which are used to analyze the relationship between QoS and QoE are expounded. Take the service QoS evalustion reselt and the user perception as reference, this thesis analyzes the situation of a provincial IP MAN and proposes a suite of Diff-Serv-based, phased QoS guarantee schemes for the MAN. Simulations are conducted to verify the feasibility and effectiveness of the QoS guarantee schemes. Further, to achieve accurate QoS management and improve the QoS ability of the future network, this thesis proposes two nested VPN solutions. The feasibility of the solution one is verified by simulations. | | Keywords/Search Tags: | AIPN, QoS, QoE, VPN | PDF Full Text Request | Related items |
