The Design And Practice On The WAP Gateway Platform Of Ningxia Telecom

In 2008, when China Telecom got the 3G mobile licenses, it began to operate the CDMA2000 (the paper referred to C-net) network. The C-net provides a good supporting environment for the mobile data services. The WAP (Wireless Application Protocol) service with its own advantages, it has rapidly developed and become one highlight of the mobile communication data services. The WAP gateway is a core element in the WAP business processes, which is build between the core network and the application servers, and always be used as a bridge to get the internet and the mobile data communication world together. It uses the standard languages that supported by many channels of mobile communication and information sources, focuses on the security of mobile data communications, and provides complete point to point security solutions.In order to get the opportunities in the fully competitive mobile communication market, Ning Xia Telecom has to carry on the WAP services hardly. To get this point, Ning Xia Telecom started to build a WAP gateway platform through the WAP gateway platform, it will get the C-net core network, C Net Integrated Service Management Platform, SMS platforms, multimedia messages platforms together to build a secure and reliable system of WAP services. At the same time, the WAP gateway is using the open standard protocol interface and all kinds of content resources from the environment to provide Ning Xia's C-net users kinds of services, such as the WAP browsing, WAP PUSH, download and MMS.Based on the above demands, this paper concludes the technology research and design of the WAP gateway platform. In order to carry out the WAP gateway platform project in our province, first of all, we have to analysis the WAP business structure of China Telecom, the WAP gateway's network elements and configuration, and the WAP key Technology. In the following sections, we design the plan of Ning Xia WAP gateway platform project and carry it out, which follows the China Telecom's mobile network organizing principles and NING XIA Telecom's particular demands. At the end of this paper, we make kinds of functional testing of the WAP gateway platform, such as, performance test, protocol test, billing and statistical test/operation and maintenance management test and optimization solutions proposed.Paper the main results is that, we successfully summarize the project plan of NING XIA Telecom's WAP gateway platform through the researching of the WAP technology. And this plan can give us a useful guidance of our practical network building and tools. After implementation, this paper selects business testing found in a typical business problems, propose specific optimization solutions, demonstrated a business optimization ideas, emphasizing whole network perspective on business optimization problem, flexible and relevant technologies WAP Gateway Applications, to better serve customers, so as to explore deeper, more long-term benefits.
