Microwave radiometer image processing and analysis plays an important role in Microwave remote sensing. Radiomete images are often polluted by noise in acquistion and transmission, which makes the quality of the images decline. Effectively remove noise and improve the image of the SNR on the follow-up radiation processing of image is necessary. In recent years, wavelet transform image noise reduction method has been widely applied. This paper applies the wavelet transform radiometer image denoise.Firstly, this thesis makes a brief introduction to the microwave radiometer, and then introduce the basic theory of wavelet transform and the main image noise reduction technology. This paper focuses on Neighborhood correlation algorithm of wavelet coefficients, we use the test image to verify the algorithm and compare the effect of denoising with the other image denoising algorithm, through the assessment of the noise reduction effect, it can be asserted that the methord has effect on the image which are large noise variance, lower SNR and edge of the rich texture. The methord used for the actual radiometer image processing to improve image quality in order to improve the visual effects.In this paper, on the basis of Neighborhood correlation algorithm of wavelet coefficients, we study the sizes of the neighborhood windows,which has effect on the image denoising. We select different sizes of Neighborhood windows to the simulation of the images denoising and assess the effect of noise reduction by experimental data. The experiment shows that the mixing windows are better in the effect of image denoising for a certain range of noise variance. However, larger windows would also calculate a corresponding larger number of iterations, which Increase the amount of computation. Finally, we use different neighborhood windows to process the radiometer image and to compare the results.Finally, Summarize the research of the thesis and illustrate the next step of the research work, meanwhile, the prospects of the further research directions are given.
