The asset management status of capital-intensive enterprises directly affects their core competitiveness in the market. Coal mine enterprises are typical capital-intensive enterprises, whose mining equipments usually account for 60%-80% of the fixed-assets. The writing background of this paper is the development of a domestic coal mine enterprise's EAM system, the aim of which is to build an enterprise asset management information system based on equipment life cycle which will cover such functionalities as purchasing management, maintenance management and so on. This system also supplied decision support features which will make equipment purchasing activities more scientific and reasonable. Security issues are also considered in this system saving enterprises the trouble of rethinking the security issues in the future.The main work of this paper includes the following:(1) During development prophase, owing to the enterprise's own feature, we employed structured and object-oriented analysis methods with the help of business process diagrams, data flow diagram, class diagram, sequence diagram, state diagram to analysis the system from different angles, laid the foundation for further design and implementation.(2) On the basis of basic asset management functionality, we studied decision support theory based on AHP and fuzzy comprehensive evaluation method, applied them to equipment suppliers choosing, established an equipment selection decision model providing a basis for the company's equipment and technology structure optimizing.(3) According to the data structure requirement of EAM system, we completed concept data model design, logic design and physical data model design with the help of Power Designer.(4) In view of the numerous function pages of the presentation layer and the functionality of which is similar, we designed a presentation functional framework, improved the efficiency of the system development; in view of the needs of approval workflow, we designed a workflow framework realizing the user define approval process, meet the needs of the enterprise.(5) The system's security aspects are considered throughout the entire development process. After analyzing the factors affecting system security, we proposed a variety of methods to ensure the security of the system. To effectively control user access, we employed access control policy based on RBAC, simplified user access control authorization; to ensure the integrity and non-repudiation of approval process, we proposed multi-signature based on XML signature, which improved the security of approval process; to record user's important operation, we introduced the logging functionality.At present, the system has been put into use in this company, and achieved good results. Now there are many enterprises in domestic coal industry, the equipment management level of which is low. This paper not only improves the management level of PJ Company, but also provides a reference for other mining companies in the country.
