With economic development, the rapid development of urbanization, car is more and more popular, the attendant problem is the deteriorating environment, traffic, increasing traffic congestion, frequent traffic accidents, traffic has become a global social issues of common concern. In response to this serious problem, people brought up the concept of driving safety assistance, and Lane Departure Warning System(LDWS) is one of the most important research contents. Lane Departure Warning System is a vision of intelligent vehicle navigation system, designed to help the driver maintain vehicle traveling in the normal lane, to prevent fatigue driving, is a smart car driver assistance systems in recent years.Intelligent vehicle navigation system as the visual information needed to determine the lane track vehicles, so the lane recognition is such an important part of the system. This paper studies how to effectively identify the lane in the lane image information, including lane Image enhancement, lane detection and lane recognition.Then gives a simple brief introduction about lane departure and lane departure warning system.(1) Describes general basic processes about image processing. That typically include filtering, enhancement, detection, location of four steps.(2) Analysis of several common image processing algorithms and image processing according to the specific requirements lane, select the appropriate image processing algorithms. And several traditional edge detection algorithm to analyze and compare proposed improved edge detection algorithm.(3) Discussed Lane recognition algorithm in detail, through the lane edge detection results of the division of region of interest, the lane image is divided into multiple regions of interest, and interest in different areas for different Drive the lane conditions are different models of the edge of the lane image recognition, and finally fitting a full lane.(4) Lane departure warning model. Put forward specific simple and effective lane departure warning criteria.(5) Design and implementation of lane departure warning system. Using Visual Studio 2010 as development platform, open source graphics library AForge.Net, using C # as development language, designed and implemented a simple prototype of lane departure warning system, including the Drive video capture, image preprocessing, Drive testing Departure warning and identification and so on.
