With the development of IP technology, various multimedia services based on IP networks are rapid development.Signaling control protocol is absolutely essential for the management of multimedia sessions on the IP networks.Session Initiation Protocol (SIP) is an application-layer signaling protocol used to establish, modify and terminate multimedia sessions.Because the flexible, scalable and easy programming, etc, SIP has become the core control protocol of NGN.Now SIP is widely used and attracting more and more attention, The two major 3G wireless standards bodies have chosen SIP as its 3G network call control protocol. With the use of SIP on the network more and more widely, the security problem more and more attention.SIP follows the design principles of Internet Protocol, the main consideration of the simple, easy extensibility, but not too much about security issues, so there are obvious vulnerabilities. On the other hand, SIP system usually works in all open and complex network, which makes the SIP network entity and the SIP message faced with a variety of security threats and attacks.It's an important problem to solve that proper security mechanisms have to be designed to protect SIP networks.In recent years, the SIP network of video monitor has become an important research focus. This paper mainly carried out safety studies of SIP protocol based on the study of SIP protocol in the application of mobile video monitor system.First, Analysis the SIP protocol and a variety of SIP signaling process flow in mobile video monitor system in Detai.Second, analyzed the vulnerability of SIP, study the principles and mechanisms of current five security threat models confronted with SIP network: Registration Hijacking, tampering with Message Bodies, Tearing Down session, Impersonating a Server, DoS and Amplification.the author made a comprehensive study on HTTP authentication, S/MIME, IPSec and TLS and other security measures and Described a variety of security framework models which used to meet the requirements of security services in the SIP network.Finally, for the security situation of SIP network, this paper presents a new authentication mechanism by involving One-time password technology and digital envelope principle to SIP security.The new authentication mechanism inherited characteristics of HTTP authentication is simple and provides better security, so the mechanism has some comparative superiority and appliance foreground.
