With the rapid development of information technology, the requirements of embedded system applications is more improved to provide real-time support and to easily access network information. STM32 based on Cortex-M3 core and single-chip network processor chip W5100 provide the cost-effective solution. With RT-Thread, an open source of real-time system, a low-cost embedded network applications platform is possible.With lot of practice before, a research on network applications of STM32 based on real-time systems was presented in this paper. The overall structure and characteristics of RT-Thread was analysised. An embedded network hardware platform based on STM32 microcontrollers was constructed. RT-Thread was ported to the platform and the board support package was improved. The usage of W5100 which has hardware network stack was studied and relevant test programs were written. For the entire platform, a simple example of embedded network applications was performed. The chapters are relatively independent but complementary. The final chapter describes the future work. |
