The rapid development of mobile wireless networking which has raised a number of security concerns among service providers and mobile users. In mobile wireless networks, the typical approach to securing roaming service for a mobile user between this home network and a foreign network being visited is to employ strong authentication measures.Recently, Xu et al. proposed an efficient anonymity authentication scheme based on RSA in mobile networks. An advantage of ECC, which uses a smaller key than other methods, such as RSA, is able to provide a high level of security. Based on ECDLP, we propose an efficient anonymity authentication scheme based on smart card in mobile networks. It is immune to replay and impersonation attacks and many known types of attacks while achieving identity anonymity. We demonstrate that computation is efficient, with only one hash operation, two symmetric encryption and one symmetric decryption for a mobile node. Having this feature, the scheme which we proposed is more suitable for the low-power and resource-limited mobile devices. We make a detailed analysis of the performance and security about the proposed scheme and use the popular object-oriented software development tool Myeclipse8.5 to confirm its feasibility. The result shows that the proposed scheme can effectively reduce the key length, the complexity of computation and the cost of transmission, thus improve the authentication efficiency, which validates the suitability of the scheme for wireless environment.
