With the development of society, the digital image plays a more and more important role in the human society, image processing theory and technology also draw extensive attention. Android operating system has became one of the most popular smart phone operating system, when there were lots kind of intelligent mobile operating system since 3G era is arriving, mobile terminal equipments develop very-fast and intelligent mobile phone becomes future trend. To satisfy image processing software needs of Android mobile phone users, research and development of image processing software based on the Android platform becomes necessary, with the development of mobile Internet and mobile phone function. Research of the image processing algorithm is the key of image processing on Android, since traditional image processing algorithm does not apply to Android platform due to factors like dealing efficiency, resources consumption and the difference between mobile phones and PC.This paper analyzes the origin, the development, the characteristics and the system framework of Android platform; introduces the functional demand analysis of the image processing software based on Android and the key algorithms of image processing; emphasis on analyzing and improving region filling algorithms and image zooming algorithms; implements filling module and image zooming module in image processing software on the Android platform.This paper's main achievements are as follows:1. The research of region filling algorithms:this paper analyzes the traditional seed filling algorithm and scan line filling algorithm, their principle, the algorithm process, advantages and disadvantages, presents two improved algorithms, and implements filling function of image processing software based on Android platform with the improved scan line filling algorithm.2. The research of image zooming algorithm:this paper analyzes the nearest neighbor algorithm and linear interpolation algorithm (bilinear interpolation algorithm), their principle, the algorithm process, advantages and disadvantages, and implements image zooming function of image processing software based on Android platform with the bilinear interpolation algorithm.3. This paper implements the image filling algorithms and the image zooming algorithms on Android platform respectively, and compares their advantages and disadvantages by the actual data.4. This paper implements the image filling module and the image zooming module in image processing software based on Android platform.
