With the development of the 3rd generation mobile communication system, several of evolutional technologies have become the focus of research. IMT-Advanced issued by ITU is also actively engaged in the collection and formulation of standards. In order to meet the requirement of IMT-Advanced,3GPP also evolves LTE into LTE-Advanced which uses many enhanced technologies such as multi-user MIMO, carrier aggregation and so on. So the performance of LTE-Advanced can outperform the performance requirement of IMT-Advanced, and 3 GPP can submit LTE-Advanced to ITU as a 4G candidate standard proposal. This paper derives from "Eleventh Five-Year" Plan key projects of National Science and Technology-"IMT-Advanced technology programs research and key technology development" which is in charge of China Academy of Telecommunication Research of the Ministry of Information Industry. The project aimed at the design and implementation of LTE/ LTE-Advanced system-level simulation platform according to the IMT-A standardized framework. The assessments on the key technologies and system performance can promote IMT-A technical proposal evaluation and LTE-Advanced standardized process. The thesis is mainly comprised by three parts. First, the thesis outlined the evolution trends of LTE-Advanced key technologies, and described the aims and methods of system level simulation briefly. Then the thesis introduced the design of system level simulation platform of LTE-Advanced uplink system and the implementation of various modules in the platform. Finally the thesis studied the enhanced multi-antenna technology of LTE-Advanced system which includes uplink pre-coding technology, scheduling of resources in uplink multi-user MIMO, multi-user MIMO multiple access interference cancellation. This thesis proposed an improved joint scheduling of resources and multiple access interference cancellation algorithms applied in uplink MU-MIMO system, which can improve the system performance. The system performance of the proposed algorithms has been verified by the theory analysis and simulation.
