Strapdown inertial navigation system that has advantages of small size, low cost and high reliability, but its navigation error will accumulate with the time, so there is a hotspot that integrated navigation system works with GPS. To meet the precision and high-performance requirements of navigation computer, which is used for integrated navigation system of the vehicle, this paper provides a new design of navigation computer based on DSP and FPGA.Based on the analysis of characteristics of GPS/SINS integrated navigation system model and system requirements for its hardware platform, a full design of navigation system based on FPGA(EP2C70F672I8) and DSP (TMS320C6414)is proposed, which uses DSP for the calculation of integrated navigation system and FPGA to expand and complete its external communication interfaces because of its powerful internal resources. There are main works of the paper as follows:1) design and implement a software of FPGA sampling real-time data of the measuring unit, receive and analyze IMU and GPS data, and carry out filtering processing, complete IMU and GPS information synchronization;2) design and implement communications between DSP and FPGA, DSP boot loading and FPGA configuration shared with FLASH.Unit tests prove the validity of FPGA design; system level tests show that, the vehicle integrated navigation system meets requirements, and it has a high reliability and stability.
