Multimedia Network Teaching System Optimization And Upgrade

With the growing popularity of Internet and rapid development of Web technology, the traditional teaching methods in universities meet a great challenge.To adjust to the trend of information technology, colleges and universities begin to use network technology in teaching activities. Therefore, network teaching system appears.The multimedia network teaching system in this paper is a powerful network teaching system. Multimedia Network Teaching System is a special item of national important scientific and technological project in the tenth five-year plan. This project is founded to promote the domestic production of teaching system hardware and software by National Ministry of Science and Technology. The results of the project are applied as Experiment Course Teaching Platform of Network Education Institute of Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications and College English Language Skills Training System of Humanities Institute of Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications.With the growing popularity of online education, users no longer satisfy with the online learning and testing of current system and put forward to some higher function and performance requirements. Therefore, it is necessary to develop or secondly develop question management, doing exercise, doing self-test, simulation test and questionnaire modules of multimedia network teaching system. In module of question management, it is necessary to research QTI specification and develop some composite questions meeting the QTI specification composite response type. In module of doing exercise, in order to meet courses with knowledge points and without knowledge points, it is necessary to change the association type between wrong questions in homework and exercise from knowledge point and question type to keywords. In self-test module, in order to reduce the time of student waiting for formulating paper, it is necessary to add paper cache function. In the simulation test module, in order to realize precision of formulating paper and simulation of answering question interface, it is necessary to add manual formulating paper function and transform student answer questions page. In order to enable teachers to collect accurate data for scientific research, it is necessary to develop an inquiry-type questionnaire system. In the last of the paper, the results of all modules developed have been tested in function and performance, and some innovations of this paper have been concluded.
