The Study And Application Of Online Video Monitoring In The Armed Police Security System

Recently, online video monitoring system is more and more playing an important role in the social security field. With the development of the digital technology, network technology and image data compression technology, the cost of image processing chip is successively decreasing. It drived the application of video monitoring of the security system in the different fields.Now the online video monitoring on IP will be predominated. With the fast progress of computer technology, IP/Internet technology and network transmission, the more various application of the online video monitoring have be emerged. In the paper, based on a special construction project used one department of armed police security system, a distance online monitoring system was proposed which the scheme took full advantage of the existing network. In the paper, the software andå'Œhardware of the system was analysed and discussed. The design objective "economy and utility, advanced technology, safe and reliable" was achieved. The key feature of the system as follows:1. the ability of remote access:the video server would transfer image in real-time, the head office, the province head office, the district office and the country office were interconnected. The customer can examine the monitored pictures using any terminal in the private network.2. memorize, supervise and retrieval the great capacity picture document from the remote.3. take full advantage of the existing system and laying-out.4. untilize the digital online monitoring technology, the transmission range from the country office to the monitor is unconstrained.
