Research On Standardized BPMN Design Methods And Tools

In order to standardize the business process management, The Business Process Management Initiative (BPMI) developed a number of open standards, including Business Process Modeling Notation (BPMN). BPMN is the core components of business process management system architecture. BPMN is designed to be easy to use, while providing the ability to model complex business processes. Business Process Execution Language (BPEL) is an XML language to describe business processes. It can be achieved that business processes in different platforms cross-platform integration services by using BPEL.In BPMN engine, the transformation from business model to perform model, usually can be achieved. While, there are not mapping from BPMN to BPEL, for example loop structure, which means that business process in the BPMN engine can not be execute smoothly. This is caused by semantic mismatch between the conversions of the models.For this problem, this paper tentatively proposed a theory standardized BPMN design method based on BPMN, and expanded existing BPMN design tool on functions. Through the method, it achieved to solve the issue that it can't make mapping from BPMN to BPEL, make the business model to the execution model can be converted smoothly. Through business process simulation to verify the design method is reasonable and effective. Through funcition expansion of design tool, it saved business process modeling design time, improved the efficiency of the design and implementation of business process management.
