With the development of radar technology around the domestic and oversea, the radar technology in the field of high-resolution is getting mature. Using the high-resolution radar to detect the targets under the background of sea clutter has been a new research. The sea clutter is the radar clutter which reflects from the sea surface under the background of complex sea situation. Building correct model of sea clutter can help to provide the simulation environment of sea clutter, and to improve the performance of detecting the target on the sea surface.This article mainly researched the property of sea clutter, and the simulation methods of different clutter model, and interrelated ways of the constant false-alarm rate target detection.Firstly, this paper researched the fundamental characteristics of sea clutter. It studied the basic concept of sea clutter, analyzed the influences on the property of sea clutter caused by the radar wavelength, sea situation, grazing angle, and polarization mode. It drew the conclusion that there are similar properties with sea clutter in the different areas, and scattering subject of sea clutter is different in mirror area and interference region and flat region. The statistical property which includes amplitude characteristic and correlated characteristic was researched in this paper. The amplitude characteristic mainly describes the amplitude distribution of sea clutter and the correlated characteristic responses the sea clutter fluctuation by time and space.Secondly, some conclusions have been gotten by analogizing coherent Rayleigh distribution, coherent logarithmic distribution, coherent weibull distribution, coherent K distribution, by the two ways of ZMNL and SIRP.Finally, the ways of the constant false-alarm rate detection and the recognition methods for multiplied clutter model were introduced in this paper. The data from the simulation could be used as the signal input which impulsed multiplied clutter. The new heuristic approach was provided for object detection by researching the different clutter models.
