With information society coming into being, internet has being affecting all areas of social life, and greatly changing people's work and life style. The increasing scale and complexity of the network lead to an urgent problem of how to ensure its efficiency and stability.This thesis is based on the background of national technology supported projects. It researches on community-based electronic network and finally designs and implements a hierarchical network monitoring system of E-community.1. The thesis presents a trusted access technology based on feature matching hardware and software. Unauthorized hosts by illegal users can not access the network. Being approved means that the authorized users are operating on the machine recorded.2. The thesis presents a dynamic polling algorithm based on loaded forecasting so as to overcome the deficiency of fixed period polling strategy. More accurate performance data can be gained and system overhead at the same time can be reduced based on the load value, the predictive value, the dynamically adjust polling cycle and the establishment of comprehensive load forecasting model such as processor usage, memory usage.3. The thesis presents a XML data storage technology based on simple path so as to overcome the problem of high wasting rate of traditional XML file storage and improve the speed of fetching XML data.4. The thesis establishes a timely and reliable early warning mechanism. System faults will be detected through two early-warning strategies of log-based content matching and definition of threshold loads, and sent to the administrator by email, short message etc.Through the test result in a simulated environment and the application in commercial network, it can be shown that system can make real-time monitoring and fault warning on the running state of network devices accurately and efficiently without increasing overhead which will affect the normal business.
