Along with the development of embedded technology and digital video technology, monitoring system innovate constantly. Integrated front-end, digital video, network monitoring, integrated system has become a recognized development on video surveillance. Network Video Monitoring System with embedded video processing technology and network communication technology, the image quality is better and can be transmitted through the network. Currently it has been widely used in monitoring housing estate, banks, highway and so on.This topic put forward and implemented a design of integrated network camera based on TI's TMS320DM6446 dual-core (ARM+DSP) video processor chips. Integrated network camera is an important part of the network video surveillance. It can put to the captured analog signals into digital signals and compressed, then transfer the processed video files to the remote server by network.Firstly, the paper describes the development process of the monitoring system, and briefly introduces the structure and function and significance of integrated network camera. Secondly, it detailed analyses the functional and structural characteristics of the TMS320DM6446 dual-core video processor, and puts forward overall design scheme and flow after combining with features and requirements of the integrated network camera and TMS320DM6446. Then it elaborates design and debugging process and design debugging code of hardware platform of the integrated network camera, and offers two types of problems and analyses methods to them in the debugging process. After that, it introduces Boot-Loader booting procedure, how to build and transplant and boot TMS320DM6446 Linux operating system.We searched and read lots of material about high speed hardware design, hardware circuit of camera is composed of core board and expended board. The core board is a 10 layers routed board while the expended board is 8 layers. In the design of hardware circuit, we used filter capacitors and magnetic beads on signal processing, so that the whole system more stable and reliable.
