In accordance with the basic composition of the beam detection and tracking system, the automatic threshold detection technology, which is used in target detection, is introduced in the thesis. This technology can get the threshold level which is stable in the limited sample of noise, so target detection can be more accurate. Then in the angle tracking, the beam jitter tracking algorithm based on the conventional beamforming is introduced, and the algorithm of obtaining target angle by sum-difference beamforming is also studied, these two algorithms are realized in the project, and their computation complexity are both low, and can satisfy the high real-time tracking perfectly. Finally, based on some certain airborne signal processor project, the automatic threshold detection technology, the beam jitter tracking algorithm, and the sum-difference beamforming tracking algorithm are given in the dissertation and the hardware platform for the array signal processor is introduced in detail. Especially the working flow and the communication mode of DSP chips on signal processing board are introduced in detail also. The concrete measures to optimize the DSP program are summarized in some aspects, such as program instruction, data transmission and algorithm implementation.
