TRAD (Towed Radar Active Decoy) is an efficient way to against mono-pulse angle measuring system. According to TRAD's operational scenarios, two typical radar systems which can weaken the TRAD's jamming effectiveness are proposed. Then based on the modeling and simulation of SAM (Surface to Air Missile) weapon system, the effect of anti-jamming methods is presented by the method of functional simulation and coherent video signal simulation.Firstly, the jamming principle of TRAD is presented, as well as the factors affect the effectiveness of TRAD. Secondly, through the operational characteristics and operational scenarios of TRAD, two typical radar systems—high range-resolution stepped frequency radar and high speed-resolution mono-pulse PD radar—are proposed. One separates the target and the decoy in time domain through pulse compression, and the other is carried out by high speed-resolution to separates the target and the decoy in frequency domain. Finally, missile-aircraft-TRAD's closed-loop simulation model is established, and the anti-jamming effects of typical radar systems are presented by the simulation.
