With the fast increase on networking-oriented video service such as video conference, video telephone, VOD and video surveillance. More attention has been paid on the fact that whether the video stream could adapt to various networking environment and user terminal. The scalable video coding offers a flexible solution to the demand. In this dissertation, the implementation of scalable video coding is studied and an optimized design is given. The main contents are as follows.In chapter 1, the background and the significance of the dissertation are proposed. The status and development trends of the scalable video coding are introduced. Finally, the content and structure of this dissertation are presented.In chapter 2, the video compression coding theory and the development of video coding standard are discussed.In chapter 3, the basic theory of the scalable video coding and its key technology are discussed.In chapter 4, according to the analysis of the macroblock mode decision portion of the SVC, a fast mode decision algorithm for SVC based on texture region is proposed, the macroblock mode decision portion of the reference model JSVM is optimized and the coding time of the SVC is reduced.In chapter 5, according to the analysis of the inter-layer residual prediction of the SVC, a fast inter-layer residual prediction algorithm based on statistic in SVC is proposed, the inter-layer residual prediction portion of the reference model JSVM is optimized and the coding time of the SVC is reduced.In chapter 6, a summary of this optimized design is concluded and the prospects of the SVC are given. |
