As seen from the international development trend of modern defense technology, precision-guided weapon is obviously one of the important pillars in the future battlefield and a hot spot of today's international weapon technological research. The basic requirement on guided weapons in future wars is to identify targets accurately and hit the target correctly in any environment (including all-weather, all-time, complex background). Thus precision guided weapons technology not only requires high intelligence and anti-interference but small size and light weight. Among them, the key is to effectively identify and track the target accurately and hit the target correctlyIt is necessary to require a higher accuracy at identifying and tracking enemy targets in the ballistic missile system. The paper is to study multi-multi ballistic missile target recognition and tracking system, which is a hot spot in military defense research. Therefore, the purpose of this paper is to investigate how to effectively target recognition and tracking.This paper is conducted through in-depth theoretical study accessed to domestic and foreign literature and experimental analysis based on target identification, target tracking extensively. The main content of this paper is shown as following:First, the basic principles of target identification algorithm, computing processes, and technology used have been introduced. At the same time we have simulated for each algorithm and analysis the advantages and disadvantages of the algorithm. Meanwhile we improved a new target identification algorithm for the characteristic of target recognition of multi-multi Missile system. At the same time simulated for the improved algorithm. The algorithm improved the recognition quality and efficiency compared with traditional object recognition algorithmSecond, we introduced the target basic principles of tracking of precision-guided in target identification. At the same time improved a new target tracking algorithm. Then we simulated for the improved algorithm. The algorithm overcome the shortcomings of traditional tracking algorithm compared with traditional object recognition algorithm.Finally, for a variety of unusual circumstances, construct a simulation system processed based on the above run target recognition and tracking algorithm. And then a a variety of image sequences has been simulated, verified and tracked using the simulation system. The final tracking results has been compared and analyzed carefully. The paper aims to solve the target identification and tracking of air defense. Target recognition and tracking based on image sequence solved the hole effect during target recognition, the traditional low and high complexity of the problem, miss target during tracking in the issue tracking error accumulation, but also solved the problem that the traditional adaptive tracking algorithm failed to track object because of the climate, shelter and other factors identified. It provides the necessary prerequisite for precision-guided ballistic system.
