Research On The Classification And Intelligent Retrieval Of Reusable Test Case

Reusability of test case is an effective method for the improvement of quality and productivity of software testing, which make it into the hotspot of studying of software testing. In this paper, by analyzing the present situation of test reuse both domestic and foreign, realize that many problems still exist in test reuse field, such as be short of uniform specification of test case, which lead test case description different from each other. Majority of classification do not take the semantic meaning of concepts into consideration. How to retrieval test case accurately and rapidly when it arrives to a large quantity. How to deliver the most appropriate test cases for the user on the basis of their reuse preference and retrieval conditions, achieving the goal of test case suggestion or intelligent retrieval.The paper analyzed the classification method of reusable test case, including faceted scheme method, keywords method and property-value method. Ontology is defined as an explicit formal specification of shared knowledge and a fine model for presenting hierarchy and semantic meaning of concepts, which made it widely used in information technology. The paper use ontology as the knowledge foundation of test case classification and retrieval, propose a test case specification and retrieval model based on ontology.Knowledge retrieval emphasizes the match based on knowledge and semantics, which makes it better performance on precision and recall. The paper propose the concept of test case reuse family, add the reuse family into retrieval result, introduce the test case retrieval process and calculation method of matching degree. The retrieval model delivers result set with sorted by matching degree, which improves the efficiency and recall of test case retrieval.The analysis and the experimental results demonstrate the effectiveness of the retrieval model, which improves the efficiency of test reuse.
