Design And Realization Of The Online Examination System For The Eletrical And Mechanical Vocational Education

This article introduces how to develop the online examination system for the electricaland mechanical vocational education,by using the ASP technology.The online examinationsystem selected B/S structure and the ASP as the technology framework。The system usingDreamweaver and Access database as the development tool, to achieve the traditional papertest replaced by the online examination systems.According to the demand for electrical and mechanical vocational teaching,the system hasa classified management, test paper intelligent organizing, online examination, automaticassessment, review guidance, scores query, statistical analysis and other functions. The onlineexamination system has the following features.(1)The system give students more humane care and take the student as the main body。Inthis test system,the student may to choose the unit test and the terminal examinations。Through the test student may understand that oneself to studies the knowledge to keepabreast of the situation。It helps students review the knowledge, to improve the learning, andalso helps teachers understand and communicate to students.(2)The Browser/Server structure consists of the presentation layer, function layer and datalayer three separate units. The user machine only need a browser,do not need to install anyapplication procedure. The Web application procedure can install in the function layer. Thequestions can be stored in the data layer.Function layer and the database can also be the samecomputer.(3)Through the network,the system can achieve the function of students, teachers andadministrators of category management. At the front desk management system, the studentscan do the online unit test and the terminal examinations through the Web browser. In thebackstage management system,teacher can edit the exam database,information maintenanceand test paper work. System administrators can backup or recovery all information of theonline test database.(4)The system is applicable to a wide range of test paper intelligent organizing . Teacherscan set test volume according to different professions and different stages of the teaching requirements.The test paper parameters include: the amount of questions, Questions in theproportion of scores of each question, the difficulty of examination papers, the test of time.This system can avoid the similar knowledge points appearing in the text.(5)Network security of the online system is a very important issue. The establishment of thesystem user registration system ensure system security.The system is divided into threedifferent authorized users: common user ,system administrator and teacher. When the testprocedure is abnormal , if the user click the save button before network disconnection orcrashes,the system can automatically read the original records to facilitate the students toanswer questions.Up to now,the system has been developed and under testing,the design is successful.Thesystem is stable and easy to use.This online test system not only facilitates the examination ofstudents,but also is very convenient in records management and user management.With itsefficient use of campus networks resources,it can offer good service for management ofteaching at school.
