Design And Implementation Of Degree Thesis Process Management System

Degree thesis is important documents with higher academic value and utility value, also important academic achievement of universities. Degree thesis can directly reflect the teaching and scientific research levels of university. The management of degree thesis is a key step of the universities'teaching and educational administration, which involvs an extended span of time, a number of participants and the coordination of many different departments, can affect overall quality of the degree thesis.This thesis designed and realized a Degree Thesis Process Management System based on the .NET Framework. The system is designed for colleges, it can control every stage of the degree thesis management. This system can supervise all the participants to work according to the time schedule and standard work flow of the university. This system can provide full-time on-line service and convenient interactive means for students, tutors, academic deans and panel judges with the present progress of the whole and individual.Based on the study of the background, present situation and the significance of the management of degree thesis, this paper discussed the inevitable trend of informationization of the management of degree thesis and analyzed the overall situation and work flow of Business with the help of Object-Oriented Analysis & Design (OOA&D) and made it clear of the target and problems. This system made a model for system requirement under the use of Unified Modeling Language(UML) and can be applied to dissertation title, opening report, in-process inspection, preparatory examination, assessment; oral examination, file.Base on functions of this system, the author adopts B/S mode to design the architecture according to User Interface Layer(UI),Business Logical Layer (BLL),Data Access Layer (DAL) three- tier architecture, as well as introduced the overall design through Database Relationship Diagram,Class Diagram and introduced the method of realization through the develop tools of Visual Studio 2008. This thesis introduced the realization of UI,BLL,DAL:to enhance the accessibility of user interface through User Control and ASP.NET AJAX to make the interaction of UI and DAL possible through Abstract Factory Pattern., to realize data persistence through stored procedure. This thesis also introduced the methods of application of some important technological problems such as cache management, Office document's automatic generation, Office document's online-editor, visual(WYSWYG) HTML editor. At last the author summarized the research content and put forward the prospect of the further study.This thesis focused on utility to realize the target wich best match the Business Requirement through the muture technology and architecture with acceptable cost of development. The results of study have certain reference value for informatization construction of universities.
