Glass industry, a crucial basic raw material industry in national economy, possesses varies products applying in extensive fields. In recent years, flat glass industry achieved rapid development, its yields ranking first in the world, becoming an indispensable and capital material industry in national economy development and the level of people's living improvement. Float glass production line is the main method to put out flat glass. However, some defects emerge in the process of production influenced by uncertain factors. Realizing real time automatic detect on glass defection offers precise and detail data for marking and cutting device,boosts quality and productive efficiency of float glass. The detection technology plays an important role in every glass production enterprise and is the key to improve float glass production line technology.At the moment, glass defect detection technology contains human detection, optical detection and defective image and digital process detection. Comparatively speaking, the shortcomings of human detection are slow speed, high labor intensity and low automation.For optical detection, it can realize automatic detecting, but on the other hand, it is pretty hard to promote and use as the detection principal is too complicated and strict, the physical volume too huge and expensive, installation and configuration too complex.The image and digital process system based on high speed data equipment, is favorable on high speed, accuracy rating, easy to realize real time automatic detecting and is a new development direction on glass defect detection technology. The image and digital data amount being too huge demands high speed processor. The current detecting system handles data by PC or embedded equipment.In a word, in this paper, through studying digital process method on glass defect image, a set of glass defect on line detecting system on the basis of DaVinci technology shall be designed.The paper is to focus on developing glass defect detection algorithm based on computer vision; studying hardware and software inside of development board;establishing software developing environment; transplanting, encapsulating, configuring and packaging algorithm under software framework of developing board; compiling glass defect detection system application procedure, calling the algorithm.Finally, glass defect detection system shall be designed and debugged and the experiment result shall be got.
