With the rapid development of electronic technologies and Internet. more and more logistics enterprises require to improve the quality of service and management with information. "Highway transportation management system of intelligent logistics platform" implements the automation management and monitor of a series processes including creating notes, creating shipping plans. shipping execution and shipping settlement. As a result users could search. edit. verify and submit the data of their notes. tasks. payment and so on. According to the requirements of IBM China Research Lab. this thesis focuses on the analysis. design and implementation of logistics management system; additionally the topic refers to the capability optimisation of this system is discussed and researched further.At the beginning of this report the key concepts and related technologies of highway transportation management system are reviewed. Then an in-depth research of service logic of the logistics industry is given while the analysis of detailed requirements of logistics management system is discussed. Furthermore, the functional requirements of this system based on the user cases are presented, followed by the database design and brief design of the whole system. Finally the design and implementation of this logistics management system constitutes of sub-systems including paper Management System. Shipping Tasks System. Planned Shipping System, Shipping Monitor System and Shipping Execution System are presented. emphasising on the strategies and solutions of key technologies.The research and development of this system are based on the enterprise-level J2EE using B/S Pattern. A series of open-source frameworks what are used widely are chosen, such as Spring. Struts. Open JPA and.Jquery. In addition the object-oriented analysis are used in design and development of this system, specifically Struts Framework supports the MVC, Open JPA encapsulates the database operation, Spring manages the business back-end well and Jquery implements Ajax (Asynchronous JavaScript and XML) magnificently. All above make the development more fast and convenient. Apart from the basic requirements I considered fully to the thread security when multiuser visit this system, and improved and optimsed the capability of DB2 and the GC(garbage collection) of JVM(Java Virtual Machine).This system has good reliability, scalability and reusability. After testing the system can meet the needs of business management for logistics enterprise. As an information management platform, the system can provide efficient and convenient services to users. greatly simplify the processes of logistics transportation. and help users to be more real-time in monitoring the status of orders and vehicles.
