In the industrial production process, the liquid material storage and transport is essential key. In the course of storing,some important parameters need to measure or control. Such as large oil refinery storage tanks need to maintain a certain level and temperature level, which for the tank to prevent overflow or dry up, and to prevent coagulation or vaporization of pressurized fuel freezing are very important.Neural networks with powerful data fitting capability to deal with nonlinear and time varying parameters of the system is very effective, especially with the development of adaptive techniques, neural network weights can be adjusted through adaptive technology, and more shows ability of neural networks in parallel.Papers on the common vertical and horizontal storage tanks to study the mechanism for vertical storage tanks by way of modeling methods and parameters for the system, there are some unknowns, uncertainties outside interference, etc., adaptive methods to eliminate external disturbance and the use of adaptive theory, the controller to control the liquid level. Horizontal storage tank on the mathematical model, the expression from the mathematical model can be seen, horizontal storage tank of liquid height and input and output is nonlinear. Then apply the BP network as a horizontal tank level control system, control method, using squared error function enables the network error to a given error range. Finally set up laboratory tank level intelligent control system. through the selection of hardware and system configuration to achieve tank's liquid level intelligent control.
