Long time single work will make workers feel fatigue and could be dangerous to lose vigilance, such as the car drivers. If the driver is tired and nervous, brief mistakes could cause a major disaster. In the United States, the national transportation safety board in the traffic accident statistics indicates that 31% accident truck driver died, while 58% of freight trucks safety accident was due to pilot fatigue driving. Fatigue driving is one of the main reasons in traffic accident, one from the American automobile learned scholars survey vehicle safety, found that the fatigue driving is the second factor to cause traffic accident, after drunk driving.Aiming to meet the driver fatigue driving test requirements, this paper introduces a fatigue driving visual inspection system based on TMS320——DM6437 video development platform. Through GPIO with DSP software control camera shaft and off-axis two different wavelength of near infrared light (850nm/950nm) alternately, according to the image acquisition pilot light pupil effect after two frames difference with coarse position of eye, eye boundary extraction template detection, avoid the traditional first positioning face again positioning eye method. Combining PERCLOS fatigue judging method to detect the different conditions:normal eye open, closed and half closed. At last the system uses the buzzer and handle voice prompt as alarm system remind the driver.The system contains image acquisition module, image processing modules, fatigue judging module and alarm system module. Camera acquisition driver image and the TVP5146 video decoding it into digital image signal, storage to DSP processors SDRAM in image processing and fatigue judging, appear weary condition system timely given warning.This system doesn't need the human coordination, and will not interfere with the normal driver driving and lasts for real-time monitoring targets. Cameras including a CMOS sensor, near infrared light (850nm/950nm) and one high-pass filter. The target's distance applies to 50cm-80cm, near infrared light source and filter can eliminate impressionable illuminant, in dark conditions or car have other illumination condition is also not interfere with the system operation. Experimental proof:the eye location method is accurately and rapidly, fatigue judging method is perfect and practical.Through the simulator and CCS software platform, the system software burn into FLASH, worked without the PC and form a simple and practical system.
