Wireless sensor networks (WSNs) are wireless network systems that are deployed in the monitored area, composed of large number of low-cost wireless micro-sensor nodes, formed in the way of self-organization. As the important sensory ending of IOT (Internet of Things) and CPS (Cyber-Physical System), WSN will be deployed in a larger and larger scale, and will be used more and more widely. And the traditional WSN has been gradually changed from a static network into a dynamic one with increasing numbers of mobile nodes or users. However, most traditional authentication schemes are just for static networks; not suitable for the mobile node authentication.To solve the problem of the existing authentication schemes that are neither suitable for the mobile node authentication, nor effectively support the authentication in large-scale WSN, a novel mobile node authentication scheme in hierarchical WSN is proposed. The main work of this paper is as following: 1. Study on the key distribution and management based on the principle of TF-CPK (Two Factor Combined Public Key); 2. Study on the mobile node authentication in hierarchical WSN. And the mobile node authentication scheme includes establishment of neighborhood among cluster head nodes, mobile node initial authentication, mobile node pre-authentication, and mobile node re-authentication.The simulation and analysis show that the proposed authentication scheme not only reduces the delay of the mobile node authentication during the inter-cluster switch, thus increasing the effective work time of mobile nodes, but also improves the efficiency of the authentication, leading to a higher network safety level. So the proposed scheme is suitable for the mobile nodes authentication in the large-scale and low-delay WSN.
