With the rapid development of science and technology, the human has beengradually into the information age. And as the most important and fundamentaltechnology to obtain information, sensor technology also got great development.The development direction of sensor technology for gathering information has beengradually from the simplification to integration, miniaturization, and networking,and will bring an information revolution.Wireless sensor networks (WSN) is deployed in monitoring area by a largenumber of low-cost micro sensor nodes, form a multiple hops self-organizing networksystem through wireless communication mode. It integrates sensor technology,embedded computing, low power consumption and wireless communicationtechnology, electronic technology in military defense. With the development of thewireless sensor network technology, the various functions of sensor nodes occur,andthe application fields of wireless sensor network is also becoming more and morewide.Self-localization of sensor node is to get the position information of node byusing information of some already known nodes and some special positioningmechanisms. Correct self-localization of sensor nodes is the promotion of monitoringevents normally. Node localization is the premise and basis of many applications insensor networks such as acquisition and tracking, which is also one of the hot issuesin the study of WSN. So it is theoretical significance and application value for thestudy of WSN localization.This thesis focuses on the problem of self-localization in WSN and makesthorough discussion and research on it. The concrete of the thesis is as follows:1. The essay discusses the research of background and significance, and presentinvestigatory headway of WSN at home and abroad are also introduced.2.The basic concept of wireless sensor networks, including its framework,characteristics,application and key technologies and principle of nodes positioning arealso analyzed. 3.The evaluate system and basic theory of self-localization in WSN areanalyzed,and current localization algorithms and localization systems are classified.4.The thesis focuses on the investigation of DV-Hop localizationalgorithm,analyze the problem of DV-Hop algorithm, propose two improved nodepositioning algorithms,together with the discussion of algorithm principle andrealization issues.Then the theoretical analysis and emulation of these algorithm areimplemented.5.Finally,this article summarizes the work that is done,and proposes some furtherresearch points in the future work of positioning scheme in wireless sensor networks.
