Microwave filter is the important part in wireless communication system. Its characteristics of high performance and miniaturization play an important role in high quality communication and size reduction in communication system. LTCC filter can satisfy the characteristic of miniaturization and integration very well.In this thesis, related theories and technologies of LTCC filter have been studied. Emphasis has been placed on the design of lumped-element LTCC filter, the analysis of parasitic effect and inductive coupling in inductor coupled LTCC filter, and the design of substrate integrated waveguide (SIW) based on LTCC technology.Firstly, based on the general design theory of general filters, the technical process, ceramic material, the properties and the applications of LTCC technology are introduced.Secondly, the design technique of lumped-element LTCC filter has been studied. Two lumped-element LTCC filters are designed according to the integrative co-simulation design flow.Thirdly, software simulation combine with theory analysis has been adopted to analyze the parasitic effect and inductive coupling in inductor coupled LTCC filter, two 2-order Pi-shaped LTCC band-pass filters are also designed.Finally, the method that Matlab language is utilized to compile VBS script to call HFSS software to build three-dimensional model is employed to design SIW filter. The simulation response performs well, and the efficiency of filter design can be enhanced.
