Design And Implementation Of Automated Regression Testing System Based On STAF And RFT

Software testing is an important aspect of software development. With the rapid development of modern information technology, software products find their ways into all areas of society. The quality of software products naturally become the focus of common concern. Regression testing is commonly used to verify the quality of software in the process of software development.This paper takes the regression testing of SUP(Sybase Unwired Platform) installer as the research background, analyzes the test requirement, explores the development of RFT(Rational Functional Tester) automation test script, uses J2EE architecture, designs and implements a distributed, scalable and automated regression testing system IAT (Installer Automation Test). The system mainly includes automated test engine and automated install script. During the development process of automated test engine, utilizes the STAF(Software Test Automation Framework) to implement the control and management of distributed test environment. During the development process of automated install script, uses hierarchical design strategy to implement the reusable, scalable automated install script based on RFT. Finally, deploys an IAT application environment, running results show that the application of the system improves the test efficiency and quality, feasibility and effectiveness meets the design requirement.
