Burst communication is a new communication system, the main idea is to reduce the exposure time of communication signal in space as much as possible, and it is an effective method to improve anti-seizure and anti-interference ability. Meteor Burst Communications, as the representative, has the basic characteristics of emergency communications. Meteor burst communication system has the following three significant features:1) confidentiality, anti-jamming; 2) large coverage area, stable communication; 3) low equipment and maintenance cost. So the Meteor Burst Communications has a very broad prospect.Based on meteor burst communication and the analysis of the existing demodulation technologies, the paper gives an enhanced method of four-dimensional modulation and demodulation. In the same average power, the proposed method can increase the minimum Euclidean distance of the signal points in signal space and get certain demodulation gain. This article mainly introduce the following aspects:1) the overview of meteor burst communication systems and existing modem technology; 2) the design of enhanced four-dimensional modulation and demodulation techniques; 3) the simulation and analysis of enhanced four-dimensional modulation and demodulation. Simulations verify that the enhanced four-dimensional modulation method has a lower error rate compared to the existing modulation method. So the meteor trail communication is more reliable, and has a higher speed.
