It is a key link to measure the shielding effectiveness in the evaluation of shielding techniques, and not only material selections are based on the shielding quality of shielding components and shielding materials in the EMC(electromagnetic compatibility) design, but also the important guarantees of shielding effectiveness of the complete entity, However, because many factors influence the result of shielding components and shielding materials shielding effectiveness measurements, and it is with the important practical significance for us to research on it.This paper introduces some influence and restrictive conditions in the shielding effectiveness measurements, which are based on the actual problems and the actual project development. First of all, in allusion to the testing methods for shielding effectiveness, common testing methods for shielding effectiveness were reviewed and analyzed, the principles and advantages and disadvantages of various methods were studied, and the deficiency of current shielding effectiveness test standard were pointed out; secondly, shielding effectiveness of testing window on the wall is studied emphatically, and different sizes of test windows are tested and simulated, then, based on the above, the standard of testing window is put forward, and obtain the relationship of data between under standard window and under nonstandard window via simulating shielding effectiveness of shielding materials in different sizes, different shape, different locations and shielding room size , and corresponding conclusion is acquired; Finally, analyzing the concerned factors which may affect the test result of shielding effectiveness, some methods of assuring the accuracy of shielding effectiveness testing data are proposed.
