In the paper, the finite-difference time-domain (FDTD) algorithm is employed to simulate electromagnetic pulse coupling into aperture. FDTD methodis is studied in detail in this paper, with the emphasis on setting of the incident plane wave and of UPML absorb boundary condition. MPI based Parallel FDTD code is run on a PC cluster with high performance. Calculating time is reduced greatly. In addition, time-frequency translation method is discussed. Two valid methods for data process is used :Artificial Losses and Windowing. Computing efficiency is improved.Based on the theories above, Typical modes are simulated to calculate the pattern of electromagnetic shielding. The simulated results are in good agreement with the data in literature. Taking them as examples, the influence of virtual topology schemes on parallel performance of Parallel FDTD is studied in detail. Finally the general rules are presented on how to obtain the highest efficiency of Parallel FDTD algorithm by optimizing MPI virtual topology. Furthermore, the fortran computing code are applied to compute the corresponding SE of the enclosure with apertures of different shape, position and number. Numerical results are achieved and analyzed.
