With the wave of vitalizing the army through science and technology, a large number of airborne tactical spread spectrum and frequency hopping(DS/FH) radio station are equipped in the military, these stations have played a decisive role to deal with the informationization warfare in the complex electromagnetic environment. The performance testing of these stations are in urgent need of a DS/FH signal, an adjustable signal generator for the tactical DS/FH radio is focused in this thesis.According to the test requirements of airborne DS/FH radio, a design method of signal generator for the tactical DS/FH radio based on the DSP+FPGA architecture is presented in this thesis, describs the general scheme and hardware design of the system, analysis of the signal processing and control relationship, designs the circuit of each module. The part of FH using DDS+PLL as the core, it achieved a FH signal at the rate of 1000h/s by changing the frequency control word. In this thesis, using VHDL language programming in Altera's Quartusâ…ˇ8.0 integrated development environment, it implements a DS/FH baseband modulation system combined with schematic design.The results show the design of adjustable parameters, high integration and software upgrades, it is able to achieve the correct DS modulation, FH, DQPSK modulation, the output signal is stable and accurate which provides for the effective testing .
