Electrostatic precipitators are ones of the most common devices used to cleaning coal-fired flue gas and controlling dust pollution. As people's environmental awareness increasing, the air pollutant emission standards go more and more stringent. So the enhancement and optimization of the ESP is becoming a major research topic in this field.In this paper, the structural features and performance characteristics of the production system were analyzed in detail firstly. Then a software upgrade scheme was brought forward according to some shortcomings in the current IPC system. Using the advantages of the new scheme, the control system could work more intelligently, adjusting itself automatically to various working conditions.The primary research results of this thesis were described as follows:(1) Analyzed performance characteristics of the core controller typed E30, pointed out the shortcomings of the existing monitoring software, and finally brought out a smooth upgrade program.(2) Took a research on the existing IPC test system in order to find out a new way to estimate the dust resistivity in a single electric field. As a result a voltage drop model of the dust layer was established. Then the new method based on the model above and VI fitting curve mathematical formulas was introduced to estimate the dust resistivity. Through some simulations using a common 480C collection electrode and RS corona electrode, the results showed that the model and algorithm were practicality and accuracy.(3) Based on the project partners'practical debugging experience, this paper developed a method of distinguishing multiple working conditions identified by the dust resistivity in tandem electric fields and a way of adjusting the controller parameters.(4) Using Microsoft's new WPF UI technology and the research results above, specifically designed an optimal operation system software to support the current IPC system working more intelligently, further reducing energy consumption and maximizing the collection efficiency.
