As a core framework of Service Oriented Architecture (SOA), Enterprise Service Bus (ESB) is a basic platform for business interaction of heterogeneous applications. And it is an effective way to solve the problem of isolated information. In a distributed environment, as various unfavorable factors may cause the system collapse, reliability plays a crucial role in deciding whether the ESB can be used widely in the corporation. As a result, the research of the reliability of ESB has high value in application.According to the features of the distributed enterprise applications, this thesis analyzes some issues on reliability in the ESB. By integrating with the fault-tolerant technology in software engineering, we design a distributed ESB reliable mechanism to ensure the information reliability in distributed system. This paper proposes three technology methods to guarantee the reliability of distributed ESB. First, instead of static heartbeat detector which does not consider network conditions, we design a new failure detection mechanism, which can make ESB system detect the fault nodes accurately and efficiently, and make sure that the information in ESB system is very reliable through the mechanism of maintenance. Second, in order to solve the problem of messages lose during the execution of medium rules, we propose a message backup mechanism to ensure the reliable transmission of messages. On the other hand, we propose a concept of moving computing in the system of ESB for the purpose of dynamically allocating intermediary process. Third, by using the fault-tolerant scheduling algorithm for components, we maintain the load of the ESB system in a certain range.Finally, with the OSGI and JAVA technology, we implement the reliability mechanism of JTang Synergy3.0. And the results of the experiments show that the mechanism can guarantee the reliability of the ESB well. It may lead to some wastage of the performance, but does not affect the user experience. Further, the system test report shows that JTang Synergy3.0 is able to meet current demands.
