Research On And Implementation Of A Mobile Contact Community System

In recent years, the rapid development of mobile Internet, has gradually changed people's life in the information age. Endless variety of content for mobile application, provides users with great convenience and rich experience. At the same time, the user request of mobile applications, in particular the lives of aid, the need for social applications is also growing.Currently, for the user's individual needs, there have been cell phone browser, wireless search, mobile games and other applications. In future, with user's social community needs, the social applications such as phone forums, phone communities and other mobile social applications will be important future trends. "Contact Community" is a mobile application software,which has contact management,micro-blog service and so on. Currently, the mobile application has been officially published, more than ten thousand people have been registered in a few months.This paper introduces the trend of the development of mobile applications and the meanings of "Contact Community" mobile applications. Second, study the design of application protocols with the system and implement a protocol (PEHTTP protocol) for data transmission in this application. The widely use of "Contact Community" show that the communication protocol is able to achieve the correct, safe, reliable data transmission. In addition, for the mobile environment, the high cost of network traffic situation, optimize the transmission data format and some modules of system. This paper propose a new backup/restore method based on local backup for backup/restore module, and a incremental update method for personal contact update module. Experimental results show that it effectively reduce the data transmission and save the network traffic. Finally, this paper detailedly introduce the system design and implementation, and demonstrate the result of application running in Symbian platform as one of realized smart phone platforms.
