An MDA Based Modeling And Implementation For Mobile Application Development

As the rise of mobile internet, more and more mobile applications are indemand. The common way of developing a mobile application is only for a unique platform, which will cost a lot of time on porting it. And porting seems to be a repeated coding work. For the purpose of improving the efficiency of mobile development and porting, Model Driven Architecture (MDA) is supposed to be applied in mobile development. MDA is a framework for managing and manipulating models in software development process. MDA aims to the abstraction of platform independent models, which are the key models to construct a application. These models will be used to transformed into other models and code.MDMF (Mobile Domain Modeling Framework), a framework based on MDA, is proposed to abstract the mobile application model. MDMF has following features:1. With the help of template, abstract platform independent models will be transformed into platform specific models.2. Ontology concepts is also used for managing common components. These components are called services and will be managed by ontology models.MDMF will highly improve the abstract level of mobile development and the efficiency of development and porting. This paper firstly introduced the relative concepts and technologies used in this paper. and then give a overview to MDMF. After this, focus is put onto the key technique used in MDMF. At the end, we proved it's usefulness by developing an application in MDMF to support multi-devices, and give a short conclusion to this framework.
